Colorado
It seems so long ago that this trip began back in rainy seattle but at the same time it seems as if we have only just begun. The biking is getting easier and we are enjoying our off days a lot. We rode from colorado springs into Boulder earlier this week and I have to say it was really cool to show they guys my home town and the college I attend. We were extremely fortunate to get a tour of mile...

Wyoming
Were almost halfway through the trip and time is flying by. It seems like past summers just crawled by with work and lazy pool side days. Not this summer. We have already crossed through three states (Washington, Idaho and Montana) and within a few days we’ll have crossed through Wyoming into Colorado as well. The trip has been full of difficulties already. The team has rode through almost...

Colorado at long Last
Colorado at long Last Finally after weeks of hard riding we have arrived in my home state. No words can describe how it felt to roll across the state line into familiar territory. Its been an amazing trip so far and we still have so far to go. While Wyoming was windy and desolate Colorado is on another plain entirely. Even eight miles over the boarder the changes were drastic. The air tasted...

Hello and Good Bye Idaho
Our team absolutely blew through Northern idaho in just two days stopping in two small towns before entering into Montana. The weather was the worst part of Idaho keeping all of us very wet, very tired and most of all very irritated. We also haven’t had the opportunity for friendship visits lately. Were heading south into Montana tomorrow and after todays climb through two of Idaho’s...

Spokane Washington
We arrived here yesterday afternoon and have been spending the time resting, fulfilling bike maintenance and doing laundry. Not to mention all the great sponsored dinners and friendship visits. We spent the first night eating at a Washington mansion in the hills of Spokane with a family who has always been great JOH supporters. The food was great and the house even better with puppies and hot tub...

Puppies
I almost forgot to mention we found a puppy at one of the crew stops today. We named her mimsy and made sure she was fed and got some water before returning her to the farm as escaped from. Picture to come soon. Thanks for the support again!

Pullman wash
This town has been great everyone is so nice and welcoming after our hard days ride of 116 miles from Walla Walla. Our stay in walla walla was awesome at the local community college. We had lunch with a hot tub, pool and grilled chicken, later that night we had a great friendship visit at local center for disabled adults focusing on lifeskills and daily interact. The trip is already flying by and...

Washington one week in
The past few days have been really tough with several 80-100 mile days including two mountain passes in one day (white pass). Our team cycle trainer says were all exceeding expectations and that we have really gelled as a team. Iv made some great new friends from Tennessee Drew and Justin as well as guys from all over the country. Tomorrow is a hard day of over 100 miles but were almost out of...

Training in Boulder
Training is taking a rather slow pace lately. The weather and my may semester classes have made it increasingly harder to find time to get some miles under my belt before I leave for Seattle. Bryce, Sean, Elliot, Ethan and I had the pleasure of joining past JOH rider Rob Hamilton at the Palmer family home for dinner just last night. After hearing the stories of past riders (one who rode the same...
